(acm/mps) “I will attack again tomorrow and try to get the GERMAN-MASTER title back to Germany”, Ulla Salzgeber already announced on Saturday. And the double European champion kept her promise. With Rusty, the 15-year old gelding, she showed her top class again and won the YORN FASHION GERMAN MASTER as well as the price money of 7.200 Euro with 2012 points for the third time after 2000 and 2001. With this result, Salzgeber improved her own world’s best mark by 8 points and set a further record score. Thus, the 45-year old from Bad Wörishofen could also win the forth CDI test at the STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS, the 19th international riding and show jumping competition and once again backed up her top position in the dressage scene. Heike Kemmer (Winsen) on Bonaparte ended up on the second place with 1938 points, Klaus Husenbeth (Sottrum) on Piccolino (1870) came on the third place.
“I have to thank Ulla, that she saved the world record for Stuttgart“, explained Gotthilf Riexinger, the competition director who was enthusiastic about the performance of the European champion. Salzgeber was also very happy about her success. “It was a fantastic ride, I loved to be in Stuttgart and it could not have been better. Four starts, four victories, it has been a fantastic weekend.“
